I am committed to help students achieve tangible results in their AP classes. In 2024, my students had incredible successes.

Eight students achieved the highest score (5) on their AP exam. I can help your child achieve their full potential.
Four students improved their multiple-choice scores by a letter grade after one lesson. I bring the best to every lesson so your child can quickly gain skills and confidence.

I am passionate about helping students succeed, so I prioritize ongoing professional development. Here are some highlights.

I have 11 years of teaching and tutoring experience. My extensive experience means that I can tailor instruction to your child's needs.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education, Broadfield Social Studies (History Emphasis). You can be confident that I am an expert in the material. I can explain it in a clear, straightforward manner.

I completed a graduate certificate in Instructional Design. I have formal training in assessing a learner's needs, designing accessible materials, and measuring student progress.
I completed my National Board Certification in 2019. As part of the process, I had to collect data on my teaching techniques and prove they were effective for my students. You can rest assured that I know how to determine if something is working, and pivot if a new approach would be better.
I completed the AP Summer Institute Training (AP US History) in 2021. I have been through the College Board's official teacher training program, where I got the inside scoop on techniques and strategies for AP History exams. I share all of this information with my students so they can get an edge.
I serve on the board of a local literacy organization. I help train our volunteer tutors and create resources for the people we serve. As a result, I have experience working with a wider variety of people than most tutors. These experiences help me connect with others and provide top-tier experiences for diverse learners.

I love teaching and tutoring! When I'm not helping students, you can find me in one of three places:

Exploring! I love exploring lakes in my kayak and new routes on my bike. There's always something new to see.
In my garden or apiary! I enjoy caring for my plants and for my bees. They both bring me joy and peace.
Inside! Look, I'm not going outside when its -20 degrees. In winter, I love reading books, drinking coffee, and experimenting with new recipes.
