Tutoring Terms and Conditions

Please Note: These are my current terms and conditions for new students.  These terms may be different from the ones you received.  This may be due to restrictions from certain platforms.  Older clients may be grandfathered in in the event of a change.  If you are an existing client, please refer to your onboarding materials or reach out to admin@springlearning.co with any questions.  If you are a new student, please review the copy you are provided during onboarding carefully.  Thank you!

These policies are in effect for all sessions involving Spring Learning Services, LLC (the “Tutor”) and the student (the “Client”).  If the student is a minor, the “Client” includes their guardians.  By taking lessons with the Tutor, you agree to these terms.

FEES

For lessons without a predetermined length, lessons are billed in fifteen-minute increments.  If a client requests an extension of a scheduled lesson, it will be billed in a fifteen-minute increment.

Some services may be subject to additional charges. The Tutor will notify the Client if an additional fee is required before the service is rendered. Additional services will be considered on a case-by-case basis at the sole discretion of the Tutor.  The Tutor will not provide help, hints, feedback, practice problems, or subject matter expertise outside of scheduled tutoring sessions. Exceptions to this policy are at the sole discretion of the Tutor and may be subject to additional fees.

No warranties or guarantees, either express or implied, regarding your ultimate experience with the Tutor can be made. The Tutor cannot promise a specific course grade, assignment grade, or score on any standardized test.

CANCELLATIONS, NO-SHOWS, AND HOLIDAYS

Tutoring is available on all federally observed holidays and during extended school breaks. The Client agrees to notify the Tutor if the Client would like to cancel or reschedule due to a holiday, school break, or other change in the schedule.

The Client agrees to pay half the session fee if less than 24 hours’ cancellation notice is given.  The Client agrees to pay the full session fee if less than 12 hours' notice is given.  Notice of cancellation should be given through the Wyzant messaging system.

The Tutor will wait in the Zoom room for 10 minutes at the start of the lesson. If the student has yet to arrive by that time, the lesson will be canceled, and the cancellation fee will be assessed.

Fees will not be adjusted if the student is late to the lesson or leaves early for any lesson with a predetermined duration. Excessive cancellations, tardiness, or absences may lead to a discontinuation of standing appointments and/or tutoring services.

The Client will not be charged for cancellations initiated by the Tutor. In rare situations, the Tutor may be late for a session. In this instance, the session may be extended, time may be added to an upcoming session, or the fee may be prorated.

CONTACT INFORMATION

The Tutor may collect additional contact information from the Client.  This may include email and phone numbers.  This information is used to improve the Client’s experience by facilitating the transfer of information (including lesson recordings, additional resources, newsletters, and exam tips) and communication in the event of an emergency or site outage.  Guardians are welcome to provide their contact information if they would like copies of all communication.  The Client may also opt to provide only the guardian’s information.  The Client may opt out at any time.

CHANGES

The Tutor reserves the right to make changes to these policies at any time.  If changes are made, the Client will be notified in writing at least 7 days before the implementation of the policy change.
